We are a general insurance broker specialising in many areas of insurance such as the following:
1. Commercial Producer’s Indemnity – Financial Loss to the Production company where a Named Person suffers an accident, illness or even death during the policy period. Typical people Insured are Principal Actors, Director and Producer.
2. Props, Sets and Wardrobe – Physical Loss or Damage to Props, Set and Wardrobe used in connection with a production.
3. Miscellaneous Equipment – Physical Loss or Damage to Equipment (cameras, lighting and sound) used in connection with a production. Cover can also include equipment such as edit suites and associated equipment.
4. Money – Loss of Money used in connection with a Production such as ‘petty cash’ and ‘production floats’ on location.
5. Public Liability – Providing protection to the Production Company for sums, which they become legally liable to pay as compensation (excluding punitive or exemplary damages) in relation to Bodily injury (including Death and Illness) and/or Loss of or Damage to Property including Loss of Use.
6. Extra Expense – Additional Expenses the Production company incurs, following Physical Loss or Damage to cameras, equipment or facilities.
7. Negative Film and Tape Risk – Physical Loss or Damage to Negatives or Videotape Cover is also extended to provide for Faulty Stock, Faulty Camera and Faulty Processing losses.
8. Death, Disablement and Disgrace – whether it’s the death of an actor or the public disgracing of a celebrity – if it results in an insured party ending their association with that individual the DDD product can provide cover for their sunken costs which would otherwise be lost.
9. Weather Risks – In the event that an event needs to be cancelled or postponed due to adverse weather we can organise cover.
10. Volunteer Insurance – Not all persons doing work on the production are remuneration and covered under a WorkCover policy. Because they are “staff”, they are not covered under a public liability policy so a policy is required for injury to persons on a volunteer basis.
