My name is Mirela Niculescu from Bucharest, Romania and I’am a set and costume designer with 12 years of experience in Film and Theater industry. I came in UK because I wanted to take my carrier one step further and because I wanted a challenge.
My scenography journey begins back in 8th grade when “The Lord of the Rings” appeared in cinemas. I was so thrilled and fascinated of this new magical world that I wanted to find out more (this is what I thought then and it didn’t changed to the present day I think it will never change). I never had a doubt, not even once about my choice.
I was so hypnotized that after I finishing High School I followed the Caragiale Academy of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography from Bucharest (Romania) where I obtained my Licence in Performing Arts and after that my Master’s Degree in Theater and Performing Arts, Program of Studies: Scenographer Art.
During my years of studies and in my experience after I graduate I discovered that one of my reasons that I love so much this job is that every time I do something different, not even a day does not resemble to another. In just few words every single day it’s challenging and brings something new and it keeps the fire to burn.
