I am inspired by the oddest things; I’m sure you know exactly what I mean. Some stupid little thing will be said, heard, seen and then POOF! Entire story in your head! Coupled with interrupting whomever was talking or whatever was going on, you dash out of the room and immediately start typing it all out. I don’t think I chose writing — I think it chose me. All these characters keep coming into the boarding house that is my head and screaming at me, forcing me to transcribe their melodramas (I lovingly refer to it as “artistic schizophrenia”). Writing is something I’ve done on and off for the last 30 or so years, but only really put concentrated effort towards making it a career since 2009.
