Scott Schorr is the founder of Lazy Bones Recordings – an independent record label and music publishing company. Lazy Bones’ mission from day one: produce lasting music without falling into the trap of following the latest trend. The label was started in Seattle and is currently located in both the States and Melbourne, Australia. In 2017, a portion of the Lazy Bones catalog was purchased by BMG/Sony. Schorr produces the majority of Lazy Bones’ artist’s recordings from the ground up and licenses their music to film, television and advertising. Lazy Bones’ has agreements with the Major U.S. Film and Television studios: CBS/Paramount, MTV/Viacom, NBC/Universal, Disney/ABC and Warner Brothers. Others who have licensed Lazy Bones music: Activision, FOX, A&E, Budweiser, CMT, Columbia Pictures, the CW, Dodge, E!, Elizabeth Arden, ESPN, Ford, GMC, HBO, Honda, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MGM, Microsoft, Miller Lite, NASCAR, New Line Cinema, Nextel, NHL, Nike, Nissan, Oakley, Pennzoil, Pfizer, Revlon, RICOH, Saturn, Showtime, Sony Pictures, Starbucks, TBS, T-Mobile, Toyota, Univision, USA Network & Wendy’s. One of Schorr’s latest productions, Borrego, featured Alex Lifeson of RUSH and Joe Satriani. Schorr is also a songwriter whose music has been licensed by: NBC, CBS, ESPN, NBA, Dodge, MTV, Miller Lite, Columbia Pictures, Nike, Disney, Chevrolet, HBO, T-Mobile, FOX, Warner Bros., Showtime & Ford.
