Jon Dowding, Feature Film and TVC Production Designer graduate of the Royal College of Art London.

2013 Jon designed the Brian Trenchard-Smith action movie Drive Hard with John Cusack in the lead, and the ABC/ACFTC and Blacklab series WAC ! (World Animal Championships !) What fun !

Jon has worked on a huge range of projects in Australia and abroad. These have varied in budget and design style from award winning Nadia Tass’ film ‘Matching Jack’, and Fred Schepisi’s ‘Eye of The Storm’ to’ Future Tense’ for Joel Silver set in 2040 and big budget ‘ Child Star’ for Disney set in 1930’s Los Angeles shot entirely in Melbourne.

His first film Mad Max with George Miller launched a hugely successful career that includes many US productions and much loved iconic Australian feature films like Paperback Hero and Mr Reliable.
He also designs large-scale TV commercials such as the famous XXXX beer series and the exciting, award winning Coca Cola ‘Uplift’ built and shot in the Whitsundays.

Jon also co designed some of Brisbane’s award winning entertainment venues like the Press Club and Family Night club and the French inspired perfumery ‘Libertine’. Jon is based in Queensland and holds British and Australian passports.
